Our own Laura B., head of the Circulation Department, has received the Employee of the Year award from the Libraries of Middlesex. (MAPL staff members are eligible for the award due to our membership in the Libraries of Middlesex Automation Consortium.)
Anyone who knows Laura, both her fellow staff members and library patrons alike, know how much she deserves this recognition. Laura is unbelievably hard-working, she has a loyalty and a dedication to the library that is unmatched, and she always goes far above and beyond in every aspect of her work.
Laura will be honored at an awards reception at the Crossroads Theatre in New Brunswick tomorrow evening, along with the other LMx award recipients.

NJ State Library Visits MAPL
On the morning of Thursday, November 17, 2011, our library hosted the staff members from the New Jersey State Library's Library Development Bureau for an overview of what their jobs entail, and how they can be of service to the libraries of New Jersey. MAPL staff members, and staff from other libraries from around the state attended this very informative program.
